prof. Eva BLAHOVÁ
Jedna je od najboljih europskih pjevačkih pedagoga, kao i profesor pjevanja mnogim uspješnim pjevačima. Jedna od najpoznatijih studentica je češka mezzosopranistica Magdalena Kožená, s kojom i dalje radi, a među ostalim studentima ističu se tenor Piotr Beczala (Poljska), Dubravka Šeparović – Mušović (Hrvatska) i Martina Zadro (Hrvatska), kao i mnogi drugi. Rođena je u Slovačkoj, a pjevanje je studirala na Muzičkoj akademiji u Bratislavi kod doc. Anna Hrušovská, a zatim na Akademiji glazbenih umjetnosti u Beču (lied i oratorij). Debitirala je sa Slovačkom filharmonijom 1965. godine, a nakon toga nastupala u mnogim zemljama Europe, Azije, SAD-a i Kanadi. Snimila je mnogo nosača zvuka sa diskografskim kućama Supraphon i Opus Music Publishing.
Pedagošku karijeru započela je na Muzičkoj akademiji u Bratislavi 1969. godine, a od 1989. radi kao međunarodni gostujući profesor i član ocjenjivačkih sudova mnogih međunarodnih pjevačkih natjecanja. Održava operne Masterclasse u Austriji (Wienermusikseminar), Kanadi, Hrvatskoj, Njemačkoj, Nizozemskoj, Francuskoj, Belgiji, Portugalu, Italiji, Japanu, Poljskoj, Rusiji, Južnoj Koreji, Švicarskoj i SAD-u. U razdoblju 2002.-2007. radi kao gostujući profesor na Sveučilištu u Turku (Finska), a 2005.-2008. kao vokalni savjetnik operne kuće „Den Norske“ u Oslu (Norveška).
U Češkoj, Poljskoj, Italiji i Belgiji radi za prestižnu European Mozart Fondation. U Češkoj je osnovala i praški festival „Opera stars of Tomorrow“, a surađivala je i s poznatim slovačik tenorom po imenu Peter Dvorský na Međunarodnom glazbenom festivalu u gradu Jaroměřice. Od 2002. – 2008. godine članica je međunarodnog ocjenivačkog suda na Prague Spring Festival, a od 2005. članica je upravnog odbora Nacionalnog kazališta.
Od sezone 2011./12. djelovala je kao umjetnički ravnatelj Opere Janacek u Nacionalnom kazalištu u Brnu (Češka Republika).

is one of the best european singing masters, as well as the teacher of many successful singers. Her most famous student is the czech mezzo-soprano Magdalena Kožená, with whom she still works, and among the other pupils are the polish tenor Piotr Beczala and many others. She was born in Slovak Republic, has studied at the Academy of Music in Bratislava with doc. Anna Hrušovská, then at the Academy of Musical Arts in Vienna (songs and oratorio). She debuted with the Slovak Philharmonic Orchestra in 1965, then performed in many countries in Europe, Asia, the United States and Canada. She also recorded numerous LPs and CDs withSupraphon and Opus Music Publishing.
Her teaching career began at the Academy of Music in Bratislava in 1969, and since 1989 she has worked on the international scene as a visiting professor and a juror at many international competitions. She has led master classes in Austria (Wienermusikseminar), Canada, Croatia, Germany, the Netherlands, France, Belgium, Portugal, Italy, Japan, Poland, Russia, South Korea, Switzerland and the United States. During the years 2002 – 2007 she worked as a visiting professor at the University of Turku (Finland), and during 2005 – 2008 as a vocal consultant at the Opera House Den Norske in Oslo (Norway).
In the Czech Republic, Poland, Italy and Belgium she worked for the prestigious European Mozart Foundation. In the Czech Republic she founded the Prague festival “Opera Stars of Tomorrow” and also co-operated with the famous Slovak tenor Peter Dvorský at the International Music Festival in Jaroměřice. In the years 2002 – 2008 she was a member of the artistic jury at the Prague Spring Festival and since 2005 she has been a board member of the National Theatre.
Since the season 2011/12 she has been the artistic director of Janacek Opera at National theatre Brno, Czech Republic.
